Smart computer use? Maybe, maybe not.

My Favorite WordPress Plugin: WordPress Automatic Upgrade

I think I like this one the most, out of all the WordPress plugins I have installed and used. This really just does take the pain out of keeping WordPress blogs updated. The WordPress Automatic Upgrade plugin. Sweet words to my ears.

Really handy if managing many blogs

I think that the importance of using this plugin is magnfied if trying to manage many installations of WordPress. Many sites will mean many upgrade procedures each time WordPress releases a new version, which seems to be quite often and annoying to WordPress users these days, really.

Just being able to make a few clicks to update a blog to the new version takes the pain out of the updating process.

Downloading new files, uploading to web server, running any scripts if necessary, disabling/reabling all plugins… stuff like that gets old fast. This plugin does it all for you. I like it.

Why my favorite?

Because of the fact that it seems that it is the plugin I interact with or come to appreciate the most on a regular basis. Sure, I like Google XML sitemaps for creating maps of my site easily, or even the WordPress database backup plugin which magically emails me database backups, this one upgrade related plugin is just my prominent fav.
